Wedding in Baden-Baden and at Rastatt Favorite Palace27 Sep 2013, by Baden-Baden, Wedding Photographer in
Like many other bridal couples this year, Irina and Waldemar looked up at the sky sceptically on the morning of their wedding day but together we simply wished the rain clouds away. And just like all the other weddings I’ve covered this year, it worked (touch wood!). There was only some light drizzle early in the morning. In Russia rain at a wedding means that you will become rich. That made us feel slightly better about the little shower and I’m sure it will come true at some point in the future. As we arrived at Favorite Palace in Rastatt, the sun was shining again so nothing stood in the way of a perfect ceremony and a fantastic reception afterwards at Hohenbaden Castle in Baden-Baden.
It was a nice surprise to bump into make-up artist Inna Harder again at the bride’s getting ready location. She remembered me from meeting at Stefanie and Christian’s wedding. Those of you who look very closely at the wedding reportage below may well ask yourselves why the groom is using his mobile phone during the wedding. These are actually the moments where certain missing guests had to be rounded up by phone. In the interests of discretion (*g*) I’ve decided not to publish the names of those who arrived too late here.
I’ll show you the wedding portraits in a separate article so that you can focus entirely on the wedding reportage here.
